Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram on Friday to share a heartbreaking tribute for her mother, Holly.

“I still really don’t believe she’s not physically here with me...but every day I wake up I still act like she is. Before every show I just imagine what she would say to hype me up and I make sure I go kill shit. I love you Hollywood,” Megan wrote. She first showed the video during a performance at Warehouse Live in Houston on Thursday.

Holly—who performed as a rapper under the moniker Holly-Wood—passed away in Marchdue to brain cancer. In a recent interview with Complex, Megan credited her mother as one of her biggest inspirations.

“My mom was a female rapper, and when she would take me to the studio with her to record and everything, I was like ‘Wow. I'm gonna do this. This is cool,’” she said. “So, that's, like, when I really realized I wanted to do [music].”

Megan confirmed the tragic loss in an Instagram post on March 22: “The best mom in the whole world. The strongest woman on the planet,” she captioned an old photo of her and her mother. “I can't even put complete sentences together rn RIP mama.”
