As we celebrate the otherworldly greatness of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays era cut "Christian Dior Denim Flow," a new retrospective piece from Briana Younger paints a picture of the sessions behind that classic collab that's impossible not to enjoy.

During one session specifically noted by Pusha-T manager Steven Victor, both Chris Rock (who appears on MBDTF) and David Blaine were hanging out. This provided the perfect circumstances under which Blaine could perform "wild magic" while West crafted beats.

"There was a studio session where they were recording 'Christian Dior Denim Flow' and Chris Rock was in there and so was David Blaine and he was doing all types of wild magic," Victor said. "That shit was crazy, he was bending quarters and splitting hundred dollar bills in half. Kanye was making a beat and David Blaine was doing fucking tricks."

Of course, Blaine and West have history. Back in 2013, he appeared on Blaine's Real or Magic TV special.

Elsewhere in the G.O.O.D. Fridays retrospective, Consequence looked back on early morning marathon sessions with Beyoncé and JAY-Z, while CyHi the Prynce noted the Men in Black comparisons the team was sometimes met with during the corresponding Rosewood period.

"People thought we were federal agents or something," CyHi said. Raekwon, Charlie Wilson, Noah Callahan-Bever, and more also contributed to the look back at a beloved West era. See the full thing here.

This weekend, West will be bringing his recent Sunday Service series to Coachella grounds. Earlier this week, noted Yeezus reducer Rick Rubin was spotted with West in the Indio area.
