Big Sean gave fans I Decided and his Metro Boomin collaboration Double or Nothing in 2017. But in 2018, he remained relatively quiet outside of a few guest spots. During an interview with Boom 103.9's Mina SayWhat, Big Sean promised that the drought will end soon.

"So I've been making this music for the past year going through ups and downs," he explains at the 2:28-mark. "It's definitely to me is my best music...it's heartfelt. It's everything I wanted it to be. It's electrifying, too: It has energy to it so you know I'm on the way back. It's not too far off so it's definitely coming this year."

Elsewhere in the interview, Big Sean speaks about his charity endeavors and why he feels it's important to give back to Detroit. He also gave a shoutout to Philly, before explaining at the 8:24-mark that he's got a Meek Mill collaboration in the works.

"That's my dog, we was actually working on something for the the future," he says. "So shoutout my brother Meek. He puts on for Philly like no other."
