Ace Hood is officially engaged. TMZ has confirmed that he and his longtime girlfriend, Shelah Marie, plan on getting married after he popped the question Tuesday night at Komodo in Miami. Hood reportedly got on one knee while he and Marie were surrounded by some of their closest friends. Marie clearly had no idea he was going to propose, and can be seen looking taken aback by the moment as Beyoncé plays in the background. You can watch the joyous moment unfold in the video below. The couple has yet to go public with the engagement on their social media accounts.
Ace Hood might not be signed to We the Best or Def Jam anymore, but the 30-year-old Florida rapper has still been cranking out plenty of releases through his Hood Nation label. Most recently, he shared his Body Bag 5 mixtape in March, following his 2018 project Trust the Process II: Undefeated.
His last studio album, Trials & Tribulations, arrived all the way back in 2013. The record was a breakout hit for the rapper, who was catapulted into the mainstream on the strength of his "Bugatti" single.
The couple celebrated with cocktails and dancing after the proposal.
