Ariana Grande has chosen to make another tattoo adjustment, and this time it has nothing to do with a small Japanese BBQ grill

While Ariana Grande and her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson were in the height of their mutual affection, the two got several matching and/or tribute tattoos to symbolize their love. However, when they broke things off last October, that left for a lot of ink with somewhat uncomfortable backstories.

The singer took to Instagram Sunday to show her fans she's adding on to her Pete Davidson tattoo that reads "always," assuring her followers it's "not a cover up just evolvin." The 25-year-old is incorporating leaves around the ribcage tat, and "always" will be visible inside the greenery.

Ariana originally got the word "always" inked with the Saturday Night Live comedian who still has the same text written on his upper-back. According to E!the text is in reference to Harry Potter character Severus Snape who famously admitting to "always" being in love with Harry's late-mother Lily Potter.

Ariana likely clarified that the addition was not a cover-up given her decision to get a big black heart atop the "Pete" lettering that she previously had on her finger. In addition to sharing her latest ink with her fans, Grande took the opportunity to publicize her highly-anticipated tour. "Also, our show opens tomorrow. i love u and i’m so grateful. see u soon," the artist wrote on Instagram. Her worldwide tour will begin tonight in Buffalo, New York and go on until October, where she'll close out in Zurich, Switzerland.
