Future is giving fans a taste of his fast-approaching album, The WIZRD.
The rapper returned to Twitter on Wednesday with snippets of the project's tracks. He accompanied each teaser with a visual, some of which featured the most iconic wizards in pop culture: There was Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter, Saruman from The Lord of the Rings, and the Wizard of Oz from, well, the Wizard of Oz.
Future recently spoke about the album in an interview with The FADER. He explained the meaning behind The WIZRD title is based of a nickname that the late OG Double D had given him.
"It's probably one of those personas that resonates towards me. It just sit with me more, and it define me in a lot of ways," he explained. "And also, just him passing, and ... It was just like me continuing his legacy of him even believing in me [...] So, it's just going back, but also, just me taking what's already there and just critiquing it and just taking advantage of that moment and this opportunity to reflect on him and also to just close the chapter out of everything I've done so far up until now."
You can check out the snippets in Future's tweet's below. The WIZRD, is set to drop this Friday, spans 20 tracks and includes appearances by Young Thug, Gunna, and Travis Scott.
