Finally, some news that matters.

Imagine if every time you unfollowed someone, someone else got tasked with writing up a whole goddamn article about it. Honestly, I'll be frank, that actually sounds kind of nice.

Anyway, Drake has apparently stopped following previous collaborator the Weeknd on Instagram, once again giving me a fair enough excuse to smash the button in the CMS that adds the BREAKING NEWS tag. This is indeed news and this is indeed breaking.

The move follows many fans' Drake-centered interpretation of a certain Weeknd line on his recentย Gesaffelstein collab "Lost in the Fire."ย Specifically, some fans have proposed that this passage is a callback to Drake'sย child-revealing 2018 back-and-forth with Pusha-T:

And I just want a baby with the right one
(I just want a baby with the right)
'Cause I could never be the one to hide one
(I could never be the one to hide)

King Push later tossed a trio of fire emoji in the song's direction, which some took as a sign that he was co-signing the above lyrics:

In a semi-related update of the following and unfollowing and general breaking news variety, Drake has also recently followed comeback campaigner Soulja Boy. This could mean nothing or everything (or, most likely, something in between), but it's worth noting that Soulja very recently claimed during his Breakfast Club manifesto that he taught Drake "everything he knows."
