On Friday (Jan. 25), DMX was released from the Gilmer Federal Correctional Institution in West Virginia. The rapper and occasional actor will begin paying a $2.3 million restitution due to his tax evasion plea, but with reports that he had been fielding movie offers and making new music while in prison, he should have a decent shot at paying the debt off.

Since his release he hasn't been seen out in public too much outside of a reunion meal with his family. However, a new video of him preaching to a group of random people in a hotel corridor has surfaced online. The Twitter user posting the video claimed DMX "pulled up to my cousin hotel party last night had some words for them," posting a rip of a Facebook video of the encounter.

"God had his hand on me since before the womb," DMX can be heard saying in the video. "I didn't know what that meant, until I read the bible [...] I am a warrior for the lord, I will fuck you up in the name of Jesus [...] I had to hit the bottom, just so I could bring everybody up." DMX has made it clear how dedicated he is to Christianity in the past, previously stating that he would one day like to be ordained as a pastor.

While it's difficult to verify that the video was recently recorded, it is worth pointing out that he's wearing the same Timberland hoodie in the video that he wore in the picture taken at his reunion breakfast.
