Following the premiere of the Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kellywhich examined the singer's lewd history with sexual abuse—many hip-hop veterans were implicated for previously agreeing to work with the Kelly, including JAY-Z. The rapper collaborated with the R&B artist on the album Best of Both Worlds, and according to Roc-A-Fella co-founder Dame Dash, HOV's association with the alleged child molester contributed to the label's downfall

However, former producer Choke No Joke recently claimed that Jay's working relationship with Kelly wasn't the only reason the two founders disagreed. In a recent interview, Choke explained that Dame had tried to seduce Beyoncé away from JAY-Z. "There was a point at Roc-A-Fella when Dame wasn't allowed around Beyoncé," the producer said.

Choke also compared Dash's tactics towards Beyoncé to those he used when attempting to charm Aaliyah, the co-founder's former girlfriend. "Yes. I mean nothing happened like he kissed or sexed her or something like that. Did he try to holler at her? Yeah," he said. "That's the same thing he did with Aaliyah."

"Everybody that worked there at that time knew [...] because he was a creep [...] Beyonce wasn't going for that shit. And the only reason why Aaliyah might have gone for it was because he wouldn't be public with her," Choke continued.

Surprisingly, Funkmaster Flex recently made similar claims, although not as overtly, about Dame's interest in Beyoncé.

During an interview with Nick Cannon, Dame Dash was confronted about the rumor that Jay dated Foxy Brown while she was still underage. Although Dash aggressively denied that he had any involvement in Foxy's signing with Roc-A-Fella, it prompted other notable rap names to weigh in on the debate, including 50 Cent and Funkmaster Flex.

Fif's tweet inspired Funkmaster Flex to comment on Dame and Nick's back-and-forth, which sparked a heated back-and-forth in the comments section of 50's post. Flex took aim at Dash claiming that HOV's former partner had come onto "jayz chick," which now corroborates Choke's claims that Dame attempted to seduce Beyoncé.
