This weekend, fans had reason to wonder whether or not Cardi B and Offset had rekindled their romance. But as it turns out, their recent Puerto Rican getaway wasn't that complicated.
"I just had to get fucked, that’s all,” Cardi said on Instagram Live. Her confession shouldn't come as a surprise, since just days earlier, the "Money" rapper took to Instagram to admit there are certain aspects of her ex that she misses. “I miss the D,” she said in a now-deleted Instagram video.
On Friday, TMZpublished photos of the duo canoodling on a jet ski in Puerto Rico, which led to speculation regarding their current relationship status. The picture shows Offset smiling with his hands clenched to the steering handles, and Cardi holding on to him from behind. Witnesses told TMZ that the two appeared to be enjoying one another's company.
Cardi was also upset that the jet ski images made it to TMZ in the first place, and urged her fans to boycott the company responsible for leaking the photos.
It appears as though Cardi wasn't the only one who was feeling relieved after their bedroom romp. Offset posted a video of himself dancing to Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel," crotch-grab included. Offset mentioned he and Cardi's wedding anniversary in the video's caption, which reads, "P * * * * K N O C K E D M E O F F M Y F E E T B A B Y 9/20 M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S."
Their island reunion comes more than two weeks after Cardi announced her split from Offset. Although the 27-year-old rapper explained that the breakup was no one's fault, Offset has faced public scrutiny after various cheating allegations emerged. "I guess we grew out of love. But, we're not together any more," Cardi said in a video. "It might take time to get a divorce. I'm always going to have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father."
The Migos rapper has gone to great lengths in hopes of getting Cardi back. Most recently, he stormed the stage during her Rolling Loud performance, and presented her with flowers that spelled out "Take Me Back Cardi." It looks like he got his wish, at least temporarily.
