T-Pain and His Mom Cook Up in the Kitchen in This Exclusive 'Made From Scratch' Clip

T-Pain and his mom detail the importance of food and how that helped him in his music career on 'Made From Scratch.'

T-Pain is the latest guest on Fuse's Made From Scratch cooking show, and the episode sees him joined by his mom Aliyah "Mama Pain" Najm as they make his favorite meal together, which she simply refers to as "Mama's Beef Pie."

Not everything made the final episode, and today Complex is premiering a clip which finds T-Pain and his mom talking about the importance of food and how that helped him in his music career.

Speaking on his upbringing, Pain mentions his family has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, with his parents owning a restaurant when he was younger. That experience paved the way for his own dealings in the music industry.

"That taught him how to be an entrepreneur, that taught him the brains of being in business," his mom said. "When he first got into the music industry and they wanted to give him record deals and things of that nature, we were proud that he handled his own contract deals. So from that, he was able to maneuver around the industry without being held capture by the industry itself."

The clip certainly gives a nice of idea of the relationship between the two, showing just how close they really are.

T-Pain also recently premiered his new show, T-Pain's School of Business, on Fuse. The series is set to follow the multi-talented Tallahassee artist as he explores some of the most exciting start-ups around, documenting everything from self-automated delivery systems to digital instruments.
