Kid Cudi has big plans.

In his recent interview with GQ magazine, the Cleveland rapper spoke about his return to music following an extended battle with depression. Cudi touched on his collaborative effort with Kanye West, the disappointing Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin', as well as the multiple projects he has in store. Shortly after the article was published, Cudi took to Twitter to show some love to all his supporters and to answer a handful of fan-submitted questions. One follower asked when the rapper intends to release new music, to which Cudi replied, “I’m thinkin’ next year.”

I just started the new album! Taking my time w it tho but im thinkin next year sometime? Would that be cool? Huh? Tell me? Would that be ok? https://t.co/ey99RoP5qv

So, we know he’s already working on his eighth studio album and that it may drop in 2019. Though it’s a pretty vague timeframe, Cudi reassured everyone he also has some “tasty features” on deck, and they’re expected to arrive “soon.”

Again, he didn’t get too specific with his news, which, of course, sparked plenty of theories about which acts Cudi has collaborated with. One particularly hopeful fan asked when we would hear a collaborative record with Childish Gambino. Cudder seemed intrigued by this idea.
