In the days following the breakup of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, Grande has decided to take a much needed break from her social media accounts.
On Tuesday, Grande documented her inner struggles in a series of since-deleted Instagram story posts. Despite the unfortunate events that have transpired, she was hopeful about using music as a way to overcome her situation.
Shortly after this post, however, the singer ultimately decided on saying "bye bye to the internet for jus a lil bit," stating that she is giving up her accounts to spend some time to avoid seeing news that may be hard for her to process at the moment.
This news comes shortly after the reports of Grande returning the custom engagement ring that Davidson had made for her in June. Performing for a taped portion of NBC's upcoming Wicked special on Tuesday, she appeared sans ring and with a band-aid covering her tattoo of Davidson's name on the same finger.
Sources close to Grande believe the untimely passing of Grande's ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, played a role in the separation of Grande and Davidson. The latter dropped out of a planned comedy appearance at Temple University this week.
