Kanye West, while wearing that goddamn MAGA hat again, is out previewing new music presumably taken from his upcoming album (and possible Yeezus semi-sequel), Yandhi.
Thursday, TeamKanyeDaily shared a brief clip from Fader's Andy Cohn showing West teasing a track in which he tells his children they "don't really need a last name." Per a report of the Fader office visit, the new album features 6ix9ine (this 6ix9ine), the late XXXTentacion, and multiple appearances by Ty Dolla Sign. A Rihanna feature is pending.
During the visit, West also said he would have preferred Louis C.K. to host this weekend's Saturday Night Live, shared gravely inaccurate stats on slavery in the 1800s, revealed a planned meeting with Rahm Emanuel, and more. Fader initially reported Kanye took a moment to describe Alex Jones of Info Wars and Donald Trump as "matrix-breakers"; that portion of the article has been deleted.
Speaking on that aforementioned accursed MAGA hat, West claimed Thursday that he had put "positive energy" into the symbol by redesigning it.
As images of West in that godforsaken cap started circulating, many criticized the repeat move, including Wale:
Earlier Thursday, West predicted that Yandhi—which follows his previous 2018 releases Ye and the Kid Cudi collab Kids See Ghosts—will debut behind Lil Wayne's finally-actually-going-to-happen Tha Carter V. "We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that's lovely," West said on Twitter. "The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time."
Kanye also shared an IG of the same preview he offered up a few weeks back.
