SZA may have studied biology then dropped out to be a musician, but when she was young, Solána Rowe dreamed of being...a businesswoman. In a new interview with British Vogue, the Ctrl singer revealed her desire to work in music didn’t come until much later.

“I definitely wanted to be in business—I didn't want to be in music,” she explained. “I thought I was going to have a really nice corner office, a lot of respect and a power suit.”

But who says she can’t have her cake and eat it too? I mean, JAY-Z is a businessman with several power suits and still performs on tour with his wife Bey. Maybe SZA could even perform in a power suit. I’m just saying, it’s not too late. She has said multiple times that she’s not sure she wants to stay in the music industry, and if her next project really is her last, maybe business will be the way to go.

SZA has mentioned going into the film industry before. “I’ll probably just do something different, something visual, probably film,” she told Complex in 2016. “I’m really frustrated, and I’m kind of over it. I have a lot of anxiety and there’s a lot going on in my life.”

She's also talked about wanting to do etymology or marketing or work at an animal conservatory. “I thought I’d be a scientist, traveling around the world on some etymology shit,” SZA told Flaunt earlier this year. “Or working for Greenpeace. Or working in an animal conservatory. Or working at a law firm with a popping corner office and a Porsche. Maybe fashion. Marketing or advertising. I just knew that I was going to have a large gate and a dog that I loved. I always knew that. It’s just what I required in that regard. My dreams were too strong. And I need the things I dream about.”

Whether SZA sticks to music or decides to pursue her seemingly endless list of other options, she’ll probably do just fine.

“Who knows what my talents are, who knows if music is the best way to share my gift,” she says in the new British Vogue piece. “I'm just gonna follow it for as long as I can.”
