After announcing the project not too long ago, Dev Hynes has shared his fourth studio album as Blood Orange, Negro Swan. As with his fantastic 2016 record Freetown Sound, the newly released full-length possesses a free-form approach blending the sounds of pop, R&B, indie, hip-hop, and much more.
Featuring appearances from the Internet's Steve Lacy, Ian Isiah, transgender activist Janet Mock, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Puff Daddy, Project Pat, Tei Shi, and ASAP Rocky, Negro Swan is packed with collaborators. Despite the amount of guests on the record, however, this is Hynes' album first and foremost. Featured artists come and go, effortlessly blending into the proceedings, giving the whole project a cinematic feel just like its predecessor.

Prior to Negro Swan, Dev Hynes posted on his Instagram offering his followers a taste of what some of the album's tracks originally sounded like before he properly fleshed them out.
Last week, Hynes debuted the ASAP Rocky and Project Pat-featuring "Chewing Gum," bringing a throwback performance to the show while performed from behind his equipment. This isn't the first time Rocky and Hynes have collaborated, previously joining forces for Rocky's Testing track "Hun43rd."
