Rich the Kid Hospitalized After Armed Home Invasion in Los Angeles

A photo of Rich in a hospital bed was shared to the "New Freezer" artist's Instagram page early Friday. According to reports, Rich was beaten by masked men during a home invasion in Los Angeles.

Rich the Kid was hospitalized Thursday following an alleged home invasion robbery.

The incident reportedly occurred Thursday night at Tori Brixx's Los Angeles home, according to TMZ. A pair of "masked men" reportedly made their way inside the residence and demanded "cash and jewelry," at which point Rich attempted to fight them. Then, three more men—this time armed—entered the home and reportedly proceeded to "beat" Rich.

Ultimately, the men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry as part of what Rich's team is allegedly considering an "inside job" of some sort. Friday afternoon, the Los Angeles Police Department said a home invasion robbery investigation was underway but had thus far not resulted in any arrests.

A photo posted to Rich's official Instagram page Friday morning showed him in a hospital bed with a neck brace. According to the TMZ report, Brixx was also briefly hospitalized.

Earlier this month, Rich dropped his new King Push-featuring track "Can't Afford It." His debut album, The World Is Yours, was also just certified gold by the RIAA.

"I'm getting to see the fruits of my labor," Rich told Complex back in March about how the success of songs like "New Freezer" had altered his day-to-day life. "I really put in a lot of work for a long time but now it's like my shit, you can read about it! I'm on the charts. You can see that shit."
