Jazz Cartier is a man of his word. Just days after he teased a new music release via Twitter, the Toronto artist blessed fans with another single off his upcoming debut album Fleurever.

The track, produced by Krinny and Path Seven, finds Jazz rapping about his recent come-up and having to deal with fair-weather friends who are only interested in riding his coattails.

Flowers in my crown, letting off every round
Now they wanna count favors when they used to count me out
Big bodies pulling up, now they look me up
What you want from me?
Now you wanna talk to me, want everything and all of me
Demons in my head, they go red, yeah, they haunting me

You can listen to “Godflower” above, as well as on Apple Music/iTunes and Spotify.

The record marks the fourth single off Fleurever, following “Tempted,” “How Did I Get This Deep?” and, most recently, “Right Now” featuring Ktoe. The album will mark Jazz’s first full-length release since 2016’s Hotel Paranoia mixtape.

“The driving force of Fleurever is duality—whether it’s battling the balances of love and money, risks and rewards, right and wrong, or living and dying,” Jazz said in a statement. “I shed a lot of old layers in order to grow new wings.”

Stay tuned as more details about Fleurever, including its release date, are revealed. You can also catch Jazz at Toronto's NXNE festival in June, where he will perform alongside Sean Leon, Azealia Banks, Big Freedia, and more.
