Kodak Black Police Seized

In January, Kodak Black was arrested after Broward Sheriff deputies raided the rapper’s Florida home and found marijuana and a weapon, which resulted in two clear violations of his probation. According to The Blast, Kodak believes authorities involved in the raid took a few of his belongings that shouldn’t have been seized, which he’s eager to have returned to him. The court documents detail Kodak’s claims that music, jewelry, cash, and computers were taken from him.

As the documents state, authorities reportedly seized “record awards off the walls, art off the walls, brand new Apple computers and hard drives containing original music.” During the raid, the police had “guns drawn and hoody masks on,” and took “gold and diamond medallions” as well as $28,000 in cash from Kodak’s home.

Unfortunately, Kodak has been in a slew of legal trouble these past few years. In 2016, he was accused of sexual battery in South Carolina. He also has a history of armed robbery and false imprisonment. Hopefully, his current stint in prison will be the last time he's behind bars, so he can focus on writing them instead.

Currently, Kodak Black’s one-year prison sentence—which he secured by agreeing to settle with prosecutors—is nearing its end, with the rapper’s release scheduled for the fall. Hopefully, the man gets his belongings back, with the judge presiding over this case not yet ruling in anyone’s favor over whether or not the responsible authorities should return the allegedly seized items.
