Louis Tomlinson took one look at the recently revealed Coachella lineup, and he wasn’t impressed by what he saw.
One day after the festival announced this year’s acts, the One Direction member hit up social media with the following criticism/questions: “Where the fuck are all the bands!? It’s a festival!?"
Tomlinson apparently has an issue with the large amount of solo acts at the year’s event, which include headliners Beyoncé, Eminem, and the Weeknd; however, Twitter was quick to point out the 2018 lineup did, in fact, feature a number of notable bands, like The War on Drugs, Fleet Foxes, Alt-J, Haim, and the Drums. That wasn’t enough for the 26-year-old singer, though.
Tomlinson wasn’t alone. Shortly after Coachella posted the 2018 musical acts, many Twitter users expressed their disappointment in the lack of indie artists as well as overall genre diversity.
Hopefully these critics are more satisfied with this year’s Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza lineups.
Coachella 2018 will go down April 13-15 and April 20-22 in Indio, California. Tickets to this year’s event will go on sale Friday at Coachella’s website.
