Spotify 'Who We Be' Live

On Thursday 30th November, Spotify will be hosting a massive live music event, its first in the UK, right here in London. Who We Be Live—inspired by the playlist of the same name (get stuck into that here), will take place at the iconic Alexandra Palace in North London, a venue with more than its share of UK rap and grime history. Led by Spotify's senior editor, Austin Daboh, the event has been curated by Spotify's own urban music team. Among some of the titans of hip-hop and grime slated to perform at the event are Dizzee Rascal, J Hus, Cardi B, Giggs, Stefflon Don and Bugzy Malone. Chances are there may be one or two surprises in store too.

Austin Daboh, who also previously ran BBC 1Xtra's music department, said: "Spotify has worked tirelessly to support British talent over the last year, and we are proud to have played a key role in the success of various urban genres, such as grime and rap. Who We Be Live at Alexandra Palace is Spotify's first ever concert in the UK and will bring together some of the biggest and most exciting artists under one roof for an unforgettable night."

Tickets will be dished out in a pretty interesting way, it has to be said. Anyone who's listened to any of those artists in big numbers, as well as those following the Who We Be playlist, will be emailed by Spotify with a chance to purchase pre-sale tickets on Saturday 9th September. General tickets will be available here, at 10am, on Monday 11th September.
