CeeLo Green Proclaims His Love for Beyoncé in Gnarly Davidson's “Jay Z’s Girl” Video

CeeLo knows how to get the internet talking.

Just days after he showed up to the 2017 Grammys dressed in a bizarre gold getup, the 42-year-old artist debuted the first music video under the Gnarly Davidson moniker. The visual, released Tuesday, was for the new single “Jay Z’s Girl,” in which CeeLo’s alter ego professes his love for the married and very pregnant Beyoncé.

As the title suggests, the song is a take on Rick Springfield’s 1981 hit “Jesse’s Girl”:

“Jay Z is the king/And I’m probably his biggest fan/There’s a feeling inside that I’m sure he’d understand/That I’m in love with Bey and I wanna be her man,” he sings.

The video stars Little Fun as Gnarly Davidson, who is seen inside his bedroom that also serves as a shrine to Queen Bey. It’s meant to be a funny video; however, many people on social media were more creeped out than amused.
