If there has been one, inescapable presence of 2016 in the music world, one figure who gets talked about more than all others, it's Kanye West. Whether it's new music, Twitter rants, his Yeezy Boost sneakers, his Madison Square Garden fashion show, or his provocative new music video for the single "Famous," West has been keeping tongues wagging since January. Now, he's got the daytime television crowd scratching their heads.

On Friday, during an episode of Jeopardy, one contestant made a selection from the category, "I'd Like To Thank" for $600. The answer: "Kanye West for giving us so many different versions to choose from of this early 2016 album.” The time ticked down, and no one even tried to guess at the question, "What is The Life of Pablo." Guess there weren't any Yeezy stans on the dais that day?

One person who noticed the exchange was West's own producer Mike Dean, who filmed it and then posted the clip to his Instagram account.

This of course isn't the first time that Jeopardy has plumbed the depths of popular music. In November last year, Fetty Wap was the subject of a $2,000 answer in the category of "Whose Songs?" with Alex Trebek reading out the name of the songs "679" and "Trap Queen".

A few months before that, Rihanna's name came up in a round, causing the white-haired host to sing a few notes of her hit song "Umbrella."

A year before that, Beyoncé received a whole category to herself
