New Jersey Man Gets Treated After Being Stabbed, Leaves Hospital, Gets Stabbed Again

A New Jersey man was stabbed Sunday night. He was treated at a hospital. But the man's misfortune didn't stop there. Once he left the hospital—after being stabbed—the man was stabbed yet again.

According to NJ.com, a 34-year-old man was stabbed in Jersey City, New Jersey in two separate incidents only a few hours apart: Sunday evening and early Monday morning.

The man was walking down the road on Sunday night between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. While walking, the man was attacked from behind, possibly by five different people. He was stabbed in the leg on both his left calf and left thigh.

The 34-year-old victim then called an ambulance to take him to Jersey City Medical Center-RWJ Barnabas Health. He was treated and released from the hospital around 8:10 p.m. The man did not report the crime at the time, according to Jersey City police.

After receiving care, he left the hospital and took a bus home. While walking, he was approached by a group of people, possibly the same assailants. He was stabbed yet again, though the attackers hit his arm. With his stab wound bleeding profusely, the victim made it the short distance back to his home, where his wife called police around 1:14 a.m., according to the police report. That was the first time the man reported both attacks to the police.
