While Republican frontrunner Ted Cruz may not spew as much hatred as his competitor Donald Trump, he is the butt of countless Internet memes namely because he has so many doppelgängers. The latest person to strike an uncanny resemblance to Cruz, who recently confirmed he would not ban sex toys if he were elected, is a woman named Searcy Hayes who appeared on the Maury Povich show last week. Things have escalated pretty quickly since then: Hayes has now agreed to do porn for $10,000.
After Hayes appeared on the Maury Povich show to confirm the father of her baby, side-by-side images of her and Cruz flooded the Internet. Looking to capitalize on her Internet fame, she accepted an offer from Xhamster.com, a popular Internet porn site, to do a six-minute sex tape with her fiance for $10,000.
Since it's pretty unlikely that Cruz himself will make a sex tape at any point in his career, Xhamster spokesman Mike Kulich figures this is the next best thing. Speaking to the Huffington Post Kulich said, "I think a lot of XHamster viewers really wanted to see her in action.”
Before her resemblance to Cruz was brought to her attention, Hayes didn't even know who Cruz was. "I don’t know his positions and I’ve never seen him, so I don’t know if he’s done a good enough job to be reelected," she said, suggesting she thought he was the current president. When she was informed that he is just a candidate, she said, "Well, yeah, I don’t know anything about him."
Hayes noted she has made sex tapes before, but this is the first one she'll share with the public. Hayes' fiance is totally reeling from the opportunity and excited by his future wife's fame: "It’s kind of exciting and shocking to know she’s famous—she’s more famous than Madonna!" he said.
With the $10,000, they plan to pay off their house and buy a truck. The American dream has never glistened quite like this.
