A California family could soon be in legal trouble after they had a complete meltdown in full-view of a camera (oh, and a lot of witnesses) this past weekend during a visit to Disneyland. According to authorties, the release of that footage has prompted police to reopen an investigation into the brawl.

Officers had originally been called to the park on Saturday to aid in the breaking up of the violent fracas. Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said that the whole incident began with a quarrel between a brother and sister, but that it shortly escalated into an event that got other family members involved (you can see just how quickly in the clip below).

The video had been gaining increased attention since it was posted onto YouTube on Sunday. The clip appears to show a woman spitting in the face of her brother prior to an escalation that would involve hair-pulling and some slaps/punches being thrown. The event lasted close to five minutes, despite a few instances where it looked like things were cooling down, and a number of people were knocked to the ground during its duration.

The event reportedly took place at Mickey's Toontown.

At a few points family members, as well as onlookers, tried to de-escalate the situation, but that had little long-term impact. Eventually security responds, though it appears to have taken awhile.

After the fight had ended, Anaheim police reportedly arrived on scene. Family members decided not to cooperate with police, and they were instead escorted off of the premises.

"Any type of violence is inexcusable and will not be tolerated," said a spokeswoman for the resort, according to 11 Alive. "Those involved were immediately removed from the premises and turned over to the Anaheim Police Department."

At the time officers declined to take further action, citing the family's lack of cooperation. But, upon seeing the video, they have reopened the case and will work in tandem with prosecutors to decide if charges should be filed.

Police further added that they're unaware of what caused the fight, specifically. They also said that no injuries were reported.

You can watch the entire footage below, though be warned that it's graphic at times.
