Back in March, Sega announced that they had their own retro console on the way. Following Nintendo's success with the NES Mini and the SNES Mini, Sega revealed the Sega Genesis Mini. They said that the system will come with 40 pre-installed classic games, including Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beast. Today, they've revealed 10 more titles.
Games just revealed for the system include Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition, Sonic Spinball, Phantasy Star IV, Beyond Oasis, Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Vectorman, and Golden Axe. Cult favorites such as Wonder Boy in Monster World and Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle are also set to appear.
Of the newly announced titles, Mega Man: The Wily Wars might be the biggest surprise for retro gaming fans. The game, which featured the first three Mega Man games with remade visuals, was infamous in the States for its rarity. The tiny console is set to be released on Sept. 19 for $79.99.
They previously rolled out the announcement for 10 more games in April, teasing the inclusion of Earthworm Jim, Castle of Illusion, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Other titles pre-installed on the system include Ecco the Dolphin, ToeJam & Earl, and Comix Zone. They only have 10 games left to reveal before it drops later this year. Sega and Nintendo aren't the only game companies to launch a retro console recently: Sony dropped the Playstation Mini and SNK put out the Neo Geo Mini.
