FBI Agent Hospitalized After Being Shot in Brooklyn

An on-duty FBI officer was shot in Brooklyn on Saturday during a gunfire exchange with three people.

According to the New York Daily News, the shooting took place at around 3:30 p.m. local time on E. 91st Street near Seaview Avenue. The agent sustained a bullet wound to the shoulder and has been transported to Kings County Hospital. The officer is expected to survive.

Sources said the agent was in his car conducting surveillance, when a gunman pulled up and opened fire. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in separate vehicles. One of the men was apprehended at Kingsbrook Hospital, where he was reportedly seeking medical treatment for a gun wound; another was captured by law enforcement near Remsen Avenue, where he had taken his bullet-damaged car into an auto repair shop.

The third suspect got away in a BMW and remains at large.

According to the Daily News, police have yet to file charges. 

The officer's name, age, and gender have not been confirmed. Stay tuned as the story develops.
