KAWS: HOLIDAY Singapore Stop

Singapore is getting a new Companion.

Beginning next month, KAWS: HOLIDAY will touch down in the Lion City as part of its world tour to promote public appreciation for the arts. The 42-meter-long sculpture shows the KAWS Companion lying on its back and staring up at the sky  while a smaller Companion rests in its arms.

The event, organized in partnership with AllRightsReserved and the Singapore Tourism Board, marks KAWS: HOLIDAY’s seventh stop since 2018, following tours in Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, Outer Space, and most recently the United Kingdom.

“At a time when international travel may be challenging for many, I am thankful for the opportunity through the ongoing HOLIDAY project to bring art experiences to different localities,” KAWS said in a statement, “and am excited to come to Singapore for the first time.”

KAWS: HOLIDAY will be on display from Nov. 13-21 at The Float @ Marina Bay. The installment will mark the last major event at the venue for 2021, as it will begin its redevelopment phase during the first quarter of 2022.
