It’s May, which means it is officially Met Gala time.
The night’s theme, “A Line of Beauty,” honors the late German designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 at 85. He was known for his legendary line of work at fashion house Chanel.
Celebrity couples in attendance included ASAP Rocky and Rihanna, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, and Taika Waititi and Rita Ora. Bronx rapper Ice Spice made her debut Met Gala appearance, receiving a special invite upon Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s request. Doja Cat’s feline look instantly had social media in a frenzy as she embodied Lagerfeld’s famous cat Choupette, while Jared Leto took more of a sports mascot approach.
