Legendary designer Rick Owens and sportswear brand Champion are continuing their collaborative streak with a new genderless collection for 2022.
Following the success of their first two capsule collections in 2019 and 2021, the duo once again draw on Champion’s rich athletic heritage and Owens’ signature contemporary aesthetic for a creative collection designed with sustainability in mind.
Sweatshirts and sweatpants have been modified with the designer’s signature grunge approach and unleashed in a monochromatic colour palette, while mesh shorts and lightweight outerwear pieces arrive in “Pearl” and “Bruise” colour accents.
Swimwear, innerwear, and socks are also introduced this season, as well as accessories such as headbands, backpacks, totes and a newly created balaclava. Locally-sourced materials including cotton and nylon continue to reflect the pair’s eco-conscious efforts. Additionally, all packaging has been crafted from plastic-free, biodegradable, and recycled materials.
