LA-based clothing brand Brain Dead and London-born imprint Rapha have teamed up for a series of specialist apparel and accessories.

Having recently partnered with ASICS on a flashy GEL-Nimbus 9, the latest release from Brain Dead draws on the idea of creating “extreme gear for quality people”.

Designed as a technical mountain bike collection, the co-branded line comprises a range of loose-fitting layering options, tested to withstand the toughest terrain. The collaborative Lightweight Jacket—arguably the standout piece from the collection—is made from ripstop nylon for maximum tear resistance and has a DWR (durable water resistance) coating.

Combining an antibacterial finish and sweat-wicking fabric, other notable highlights include the trail cycling shorts, anatomically shaped belt and cinch system. The technical bike shirt also takes centre stage, arriving with a honeycomb structure that stands out from the skin and provides comfort, moisture transport and cooling.

An elasticated nylon beanie and trail hip pack round out the range, and have been designed to stay in place even at high speeds. The hip bag with two outer pockets and an integrated mesh collar ensures that your luggage does not slip on the trail.

The Brain Dead x Rapha collection is available now at select retailers. Check out the collaboration in the shots below.
