Adding to its growing roster of collaborators, UK-based retailer END. has unveiled a first look at its inaugural link-up with Salomon.
Founded almost 80 years ago, Salomon has seen a rapid rise in recent years. With the dominance of Gorpcore in menswear, the comfort offered by the performance-driven label—along with its ever-popular colourways—has meant that the brand’s efforts are in-demand more than ever before.
Now, for its debut release, the brands have readied a tonal iteration of Salomon’s epochal XT-Wings 2 silhouette. Inspired by the Sahara desert and the Marathon de Sables—the world’s toughest footrace—this new collaboration is built on the high-performance qualities that Salomon has become known for.
Dubbed the “Sirocco”, a name for the harsh winds that originate where the challenge takes place, the XT-Wings 2 is dressed in an earthy desert-inspired make-up comprised of both brown mesh uppers—to mimic sand dunes—and neutral dusty hues across the sole unit. In true Salomon style, the sneaker has been crafted with a breathable mesh upper, while a specialist chassis system and signature grip technology provides optimal comfort no matter what terrain.
Rounding out the design is Salomon’s signature toggle, re-imagined in white for a clean contrast to the shoe’s earthy aesthetics.
