Dr. Martens has teamed up with Termaine Emory’s Denim Tears to celebrate the Windrush Generation by putting a new stamp on some iconic silhouettes.

Remaining steadfast in Emory’s visionary commitment to reclaiming the history of the African diaspora, the new footwear collection serves as a poignant reminder of the hardships experienced by migrants from all walks of life, while also highlighting the role that individual societies must play in creating an environment which promotes inclusivity and empathy and accepts the fluidity of national identity.

The collection itself features a reimagined rendition of the 1460 boot, along with the Penton loafer shoe, available in both a sleek “Pure Black” and a striking “Bold Red” colourway. Constructed from resilient, smooth leather, both styles feature a union jack motif subverted with the colours of the Jamaican flag across the vamp and a traditional DMS sole, secured with a Goodyear welt stitch.

You can cop the debut Dr. Martens x Denim Tears collaboration now from the Dr. Martens and Denim Tears webstores.
