By now we should all be well familiar with the fact that Canada Day is a made-up holiday, because this country was around long before some people who weren't supposed to be here in the first place got together to sign a document back in 1867 *shrug* But we digress; July 1 is still a good excuse to celebrate the fact that we live in the most beautiful country in the world and Montreal's Saintwoods is about to drop a tee that will let you rep your national pride with your chest, quite literally.
The "Canadian Snacks" t-shirt features a photograph shot by Scott Pilgrim that depicts some of our nation's most treasured junk foods, including Smarties, Coffee Crisp, ketchup chips and, of course, poutine.
The t-shirt is part of Saintwoods' sixth apparel collection, aptly titled "006," that will release in store at special pop-ups at CNTRBND s Toronto and Vancouver locations on Friday June 29 and at the Saintwoods Montreal Pop-Up on Saturday June 30. The collection will also feature a bunch of seriously coppable heat including a Saintwoods Dickies suit, a Chenille Patch Sweatshirt and a small collaborative capsule with New York mainstay Opening Ceremony that includes graphic play on the branding of the two companies represented on both long sleeve tees and tote bags, as well as an exclusive baby pink colour way of the Saintwoods logo tee.
If you can't make it to the pop ups, the entire Saintwoods 006 collection will be available online on Monday July 2.
