These days, the barriers to entry in creating a clothing brand are lower than ever. While that might mean that the marketplace is flooded with labels trying to be the next hot shit, we're all blessed with the fact that talent can shine through without the traditional means to success.

One such tool that these up-and-comers utilize is Instagram, which can display a brand's product, aesthetic, and release news. Between unfollowing foodies and double tapping the beach pics of our crushes, we were able to find some dope brands that cut through the noise and deserve your attention. K.N.J. first made waves when it collaborated with Darien Bruze on a matching Newport set. But K.N.J. has kept putting out strong product that resonates with anyone who stays plugged in to the latest going ons in art and fashion. Case in point: the brand's pixelated items that were a natural follow-up to the static series that sold out incredibly quickly. If K.N.J. has learned one thing, hopefully it's to carry a bit more quantity to serve the masses.

DOM SEBASTIAN first made waves with a few T-shirts that were hyper-full of parody graphics that spoofed on the prevalence of religion and corporations in our lives, all done with a NASCAR look. But by the looks of things, DOM SEBASTIAN is going to be coming even stronger in the very near future with some wild prints and pieces that will exist in that dope grey area between streetwear and high-fashion.

Qilo stands out on your Instagram feed because it's not a company that takes itself too seriously. Plus, putting babes in dope hats in 'fits that are just as ill is pretty much a guaranteed home run. But above the stylish photos, creating high-quality headwear with a fun attitude will always shine through (they make leather crowns, for Christ's sake!).

Coming out of Miami, LVXL doesn't duck around the "street luxe" label. Its bread and butter is definitely wild, mind-altering T-shirts, but by the looks of the brand's recent posts, they might have cut and sew shirting and boots headed our way. But don't worry, it doesn't look like the label's neck-snapping aesthetic without being cheesy is gonna disappear with any sort of expansion.

Most brands that we found on Instagram deal primarily with T-shirts and basics with unique graphics and details. Heroes & Legends, on the other hand, is dealing with some advanced garments that are nearing avant-garde territory. The brand was born last year in L.A., and definitely veers into the more experimental regions of the gothic aesthetic.

They weren't the first to do it, but Youth Machine's debut collection pretty much bodied anyone else trying to do parody tees. And while it's only natural that these overloaded graphic tees get all the initial attention, the label also has a few dope pieces that don't riff on high-fashion and instead provide progressive cuts and silhouettes that won't break the bank.

Labels that focus on their hometowns will always find a ready audience. Perico Limited does just that with a collection that combines its home base of NYC with a drugged out theme, which again, will always find a ready audience. Combining those two themes result in a line-up of basics and outerwear that any proud New Yorker can rock.

If you're on board the resurgence of all-over prints, then you need to start paying attention to Scott Anderson's drops. Even at grail prices, his Playboy and Chanel ad pieces sold out, and some people were lucky enough to get a free and hilariuos RIP Limewire shirt along with their purchase. But don't think Scott Anderson is relying too heavily on one successful motif. The brand is expanding into more cut and sew, including a dope mesh bomber jacket and other items that should be just as fire as previous offerings.

Darien Bruze's gear is now in shops like VFiles, 424 on Fairfax, and Gr8 in Tokyo, but the designer first started gaining momentum on Instagram. His East v West designs set themselves apart from other apparel with strong graphics that made sense together, and every single one of his 13,000 followers is hoping that Bruze expands the next offering both in range and in quantity, since everything sold out so quickly on his site.

Unlike a lot of other brands flourishing on Instagram, Control Sector already has a wide range of apparel. From bombers and crewnecks to tees and pants, the brand has a full collection of dope gear that's half Illuminati-themed, half-geometrically inclined, but fully wearable while pushing past other labels doing similar things.
