During this time of uncertainty and increasing need, New York-based artist KAWS is once again using his art to lend a hand.

On Friday, the artist announced he was releasing limited-edition shape prints that will benefit various charities. KAWS, legal name Brian Donnelly, will release the prints over the next several days, the first of which is a Peanuts Snoopy piece that will be sold for $1,200 with shipping included. Sales from the first drop will benefit Free Arts NYC, a nonprofit that offers art education and mentoring programs to underserved youth.

"Many of the vulnerable children they serve are staying in crowded shelters with little access to resources needed to stay inspired and resilient," KAWS wrote on Instagram. "Please consider supporting the organization, via a donation on their website or by purchasing a print, to raise money for supplies, activity kits, and virtual mentoring for their youth."

The 10.5 x 8-inch Snoopy prints will be released in an edition of 25. Each piece will be numbered and signed, and come with five artist proofs. All prints will be shipped once the NYC stay-at-home order is lifted.

Per KAWS' announcement:

To request purchase, email PRINTS@KAWS.COM with FREEARTSNYC in the subject line and include your full name, shipping address, and phone number. 25 people will be selected to purchase the print and will be contacted with payment instructions. If you are interested in being placed in line to buy a print from the soon-to-be announced editions for other charities, please mention that in your email.
