For his 36th birthday, Kid Cudi commissioned a custom chain from Ben Baller featuring Takashi Murakami-designed artwork.

Cudi gave fans a glimpse at the custom piece on IG and Twitter Friday, accurately deeming it a "fuckin' masterpiece" consisting of "art level shit." Last year, Ben Baller graced Cudi with a custom chain based on a design from A Bathing Ape's Nigo.

Also on Friday, Cudi thanked fans and supporters for the birthday love, which also included the boosting of his essentials playlist from Apple Music:

Entergalactic, Cudi's next album, is due later this year and will be accompanied by an animated Netflix series executive produced under Kenya Barris' Khalabo Ink Society. The series was touted by Netflix last summer as a "first of its kind" adult animated series that will feature music from the album woven into a story about a young man's journey toward love.

During an appearance on Complex's Watch Less back in November, Barris let loose a few more details on both the series and the album, the latter of which he says boasts "bangers" with Dot Da Genius, Ty Dolla Sign, and more. Each episode, according to Barris, will lay out a 30-minute narrative explaining what a song is about.

"It's a youthful love story told through Cudi's music," he said.
