As part of its ongoing Red Tag series, Diesel has announced its next collaborator: London-based streetwear label A-COLD-WALL*. Designed by Samuel Ross, A-COLD-WALL* produces conceptual streetwear, rooted in the designer's socio-political and cultural commentary.

Diesel's Red Tag series, in collaboration with fashion business accelerator Tomorrow London, is giving emerging designers a platform to launch capsule collections derived from Diesel's archive of timeless denim. In 2018, the Red Tag series produced Diesel collaborations with Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air and Glenn Martens of Y/Project. This year's roster has proven to be just as impressive, with the May release of Gosha Rubchinskiy’s GR-Uniforma capsule, and now A-COLD-WALL* arriving in November.

Diesel founder Renzo Rosso issued a statement in tandem with the collaboration announcement, applauding Ross' aesthetic and technical approach to streetwear. “Diesel Red Tag is the highest expression of our collaborations strategy, the one which taps into the newest generation of creative, disruptive and iconoclastic designers who interpret our world, and particularly our denim DNA in the most modern way, for the worldwide fashion community," he explained. "I have been following Samuel for a long time, I just love his innovative vision of sportswear, and I am very pleased to have him as the newest contributor to this project.”

A-COLD-WALL* has received praise from nearly every corner of the industry for Ross' take on modern streetwear. Since winning the British Emerging Menswear Designer of the year award in December, Ross launched a conceptual pop-up during London Fashion Week and collaborated with Nike on a special edition Air Force 1.

In an interview with Complex News in London, the designer explained where he thinks streetwear is headed, and how he's developing his brand as a result. "I think this is a different age where more emotive work is coming out from a different demographic, which is why we still have this tinge of streetwear, but also a strong connection to high fashion," he said. "This new amalgamation of the two is what we are seeing and that's going to be here to stay."

The Diesel Red Tag x A-COLD-WALL* collaboration will be released in November 2019 and will be available exclusively through retailers curated by Tomorrow, on diesel.com, and in 10 select Diesel stores worldwide.
