It’s almost here. The highly anticipated Kith x Nike collaboration will start to roll out this Friday, introducing a range of sneaker models and apparel inspired by NBA legend Scottie Pippen.

The first delivery of the Take Flight collection will be centered on the Maestro 2 High, an updated version of the original Maestro 2 silhouette worn by Pippen in the mid-1990s. The new, heightened iteration will feature an inner-sock with added straps, an offset lacing system, a medial zipper, and a Nike Swoosh on the toe box. The Maestro 2 will be available in the original red colorway as well as a purple version that nods to Pippen’s alma mater, the University of Central Arkansas.

The first drop will also include apparel pieces like sherpa-lined sideline coats, tear-away pants, and flight suits, as well as tees and hoodies that put a Kith spin on classic Nike logos and slogans.

On Oct. 6, Kith and Nike will release the second Take Flight drop, which will be anchored by the Pippen 1 model. This sneaker will also be available in two animal-inspired colorways: The Black Pony, an ode to the original black model; and the Chimera, which features various animals to represent Pippen’s versatility on the court. “[It’s] the idea that Pippen could play any position on the floor and was thus multiple animals in one, similar to the mythological Chimera,” Kith said in a press release.

The Pippen 1 drop will also consist of pullover and zip warm-ups, hoodies, and tees with animal-print details.

While you wait for the drop, you can check out the first and second deliveries in the lookbook images below and the campaign video above.

Kith founder Ronnie Fieg also announced the brand’s plans to expand in the near future. Though he didn’t provide many details, he confirmed that Kith would open the doors to a new three-story space.

“There’s not much more I can say about that,” Fieg told Complex. “I can say we’re opening a building, we’re gonna leave the rest of the details for another time.”
