Toronto Maple Leafs were recently surprised to see what could possibly be a new jersey for the team leaked by none other than cooking and lifestyle queen Martha Stewart.
On Wednesday, Stewart posted a photo of herself with Canadian pop icon Justin Bieber, where the lifelong Leafs fan is shown sporting the suspected new jersey.
The photo was meant to be in celebration of Bieber’s 28th birthday, however the reveal of the never-before-seen jersey caught the eye of suspecting Leafs fans.
It is unclear where the jersey came from since it does not seem to be on any official Leafs merchandise site. It could be a practice jersey or a sneak peek at apparel the team could be donning in a future game.
Fans speculate the jersey could be a new look for the Leafs in the upcoming Next Gen game, since the next two new jerseys for the St. Patrick’s Day game and 2022 Heritage Classic outdoor game have previously been revealed.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen this unlikely duo behind the new Leafs jersey leak together. Stewart and Bieber’s icon friendship dates back to 2015, when Stewart hilariously roasted him in the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.
It remains unclear what the team thinks of this unintentional leak from Stewart and Bieber.
