Netflix’s new Korean drama series Squid Game has been a topic of conversation in basically every meeting, group chat, and even post-game press conference as LeBron James and Anthony Davis recently weighed in with their thoughts about the show’s finale.
[SPOILERS AHEAD] After wrapping a press conference, LeBron is seen chatting with fellow Laker Anthony Davis about the polarizing finale to the series, where main character Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, decides not to get on a plane to go see his daughter in America and instead try and end the shadowy game once and for all in a cliffhanger that should lead into a second season.
“You finished it? You watched it? You done?” LeBron can be seen asking AD in the clip, mirroring every conversation between TV-watching friends right now. “I didn’t like the ending, though. I know they’ll start it off with a Season 2 but, like, get on the fucking flight and go see your daughter, bro. Like what are you doing?”
The two agree that since he won the game, Gi-hun should have just minded his business and used the massive amount of prize money to be part of his daughter’s life like he initially planned. AD seems to think Gi-hun should try to get his ex-wife back, too.
The finale of Squid Game had everyone talking already, but Bron and AD discussing the ending has prompted social media to chat about their takes on the ending and how popular the show has become. Check out what others had to say down below.
