Philadelphia Eagles fans in costume cheer on before action against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
The NFL season is cruising (sort of) along. There's been some hiccups and you never really know when a team could get shutdown due to Covid-19, but we're here for week 7 and the picks are still rolling in. At this point in the season you have a pretty good idea about who is good and who isn't, unless you look at the NFC East, where everyone is bad but it doesn't matter because someone has to win it. Tom Brady and the Bucs look very legit. The Browns might be good? The Steelers and Ravens look like powerhouses yet again. Oh, and Antonio Brown might be back in the NFL by next week. So yeah, there's a lot going on at the moment.
Like always, these are our straight up picks and not ATS. For all our NFL bets of the week, tune into the Complex Sports 'Load Management' podcast, where we break down every game by the spread. Not to toot our own horn, but we're on a pretty crazy ATS picks streak right now. So if you're into that kind of thing, check out the podcast. As for the straight up picks, Angel continues to hold a lead in the standings, but things are tightening up as we go along. Let's have some fun.
Overall Records:
Chopz - 56-34
Adam - 57-33
Angel - 61-29
Zion - 57-33
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Chopz: I can’t believe the NFC East is so bad that both of these teams are still in it. Give me the Eagles at home.
Adam: Eagles have won seven in a row in this rivalry. Make it eight.
Zion: The Giants never win in Philly even if they’re 10-0 and Philly is 0-10… BUT THAT ENDS THURSDAY NIGHT! GMEN!
Angel: Philly and they cover.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Chopz: Big bounce back game for Baker and the Browns. They roll in Cincy.
Adam: The better quarterback gets it done. Cincinnati pulls off the upset.
Zion: Browns, I guess.
Angel: The Browns have to win this one, right?
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team
Chopz: Well, this game sucks. I honestly don’t know. I guess give me Dallas.
Adam: The Cowboys coaching staff reportedly doesn’t know what the fuck they’re doing, but this is the Washington Football Team we’re talking about here. Give me Dallas, which has won seven of the last eight meetings in the series.
Zion: Cowboys stink but not bad enough to lose to Kyle Allen.
Angel: I think all the controversy helps Dallas here and they get a much needed win.
Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons
Chopz: A game with two teams who love to blow leads. I feel bad for whoever scores first because they will absolutely lose this game. I’ll take the Falcons at home.
Adam: The Lions come in on a two-game winning streak and have fared well against shittier squads. Atlanta certainly qualifies as one. Taking Detroit.
Zion: Falcons.
Angel: Man, give me the Falcons.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Chopz: Saints win this off of the bye week.
Adam: If you’re gambling against the spread, roll with the Panthers (+7.5). Straight up, I can’t go against the Saints.
Zion: Saints.
Angel: The Saints haven’t had an easy win yet. I think that changes this week.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
Chopz: Bills by a lot.
Adam: The spread on this game opened at 10—which is laughable. It really should be double, if not triple, that. Buffalo, coming off two straight losses to two of the best teams in the AFC, will pound the worst team in the conference to smithereens.
Zion: Bills rest their starters by the second quarter.
Angel: Bills easily.
Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans
Chopz: Packers bounce back and get the W here.
Adam: Thought about being cute and taking the Texans, but as long Aaron Rodgers doesn’t get shoved down every other possession, like he did against Tampa Bay last week, the Packers should roll.
Zion: Rodgers will bounce back. Pack.
Angel: Aaron Rodgers remembers how to quarterback. Green Bay.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans
Chopz: I just can’t pick the Steelers but this should be a good one. Give me the Titans.
Adam: Titans aren’t getting any respect from Vegas since they installed Pittsburgh as 1.5-point favorites when the Week 7 lines came out. Give me the home dog.
Zion: Titans at home.
Angel: Steelers.
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Chopz: Seattle wins off their bye week.
Adam: This is where Seattle’s defensive issues finally cost them. Take the Cardinals with their offense rolling right now.
Zion: Big day for Kyler and D-Hop. Cards shock the Seahawks.
Angel: Russell Wilson aka Mr. Unlimited will get it done.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Chargers
Chopz: Chargers take this.
Adam: Yawn. Chargers.
Zion: Chargers.
Angel: Chargers.
San Francisco 49ers at New England Patriots
Chopz: I’ll take the 49ers in the upset on the road.
Adam: Patriots, I guess.
Zion: Patriots.
Angel: The Patriots lost two in a row and Belichick isn’t having that. Give me New England.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Chopz: Chiefs take this and Le’Veon Bell scores two TDs.
Adam: Last time Denver beat Kansas City, Angel’s Paterson compadre Fetty Wap was charting. That means the Chiefs have won the last nine meetings. They’re about to make it 10.
Zion: Chiefs.
Angel: KC is a route.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders
Chopz: Tom Brady and this Bucs defense get the W.
Adam: Decent Sunday night game. Would love to see the Raiders win, but think Tampa Bay gets it done.
Zion: Bucs because that whole Radiers o-line is quarantining.
Angel: The Raiders because Tampa Tom needs to come back down to Earth.
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams
Chopz: Rams at home for the win.
Adam: Bears. Rams might be total frauds.
Zion: I say Rams at home.
Angel: I think the Rams get it done.
