It was substantially different than the competition.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is underway in Australia and to celebrate, Fox Sports posted a graphic to its Twitter page asking readers which team has the best nickname.

While most had something original going for them, Canada stood out thanks to, well, nothing. Team Canada has "no official nickname" according to the graphic, leading to Canadians having much to say online.

Some users started a chant repeating the phrase "No Official Nickname!"

Another believes Canada has the best one "by a mile."

Most Canadians either ironically or unironically agreed it was the best but one person's reasoning made the most amount of sense.

No Official Nickname obviously. Mysterious and badass. https://t.co/Vm7hqNGl0x

Some were shocked to see that the team's unofficial nickname of "Les Rouges" didn't make the cut.

We need to work on this, Canada.

I’ve called them Les Rouges unofficially…but https://t.co/OPIuv2IoFv

OneSoccer even chimed in to let everyone know about "Les Rouges."

IT'S OFFICIAL 🚨

We are officially proud to announce (confirm?) the #CanWNT nickname is officially 'Les Rouges'

This official decision comes after careful review from the Office of Football Federation Indexing & Characterized Identity Association for Labels (O.F.F.I.C.I.A.L.) https://t.co/cGZay9H8M6

Finally, someone created a mock t-shirt of Team Canada with "No official nickname" written underneath the maple leaf logo.
