ESPN football analyst and wearer of enormously-knotted ties Merril Hoge detests Johnny Manziel with the passion of a thousand suns, and has had no qualms about letting that opinion be known since Manziel was drafted last season. Ahead of Manziel's third career start against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Hoge reiterated his opinion to ESPN Cleveland that the Browns should have cut Manziel and just moved on.
Well Manziel went out and had himself a day against the Titans, throwing two touchdown bombs to wide receiver Travis Benjamin en route to a 28-14 victory. After the game, Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt tweeted the emoji of a face blowing a kiss at Hoge, taking a bit of a subtle shot at the former Pittsburgh Steeler.
Hoge, who's avatar looks like it was ripped from a Men's Wearhouse catalog, responded, even making fun of his own tie selection which Manziel made fun of earlier in the week. This should be a fun back and forth to watch as the season develops and Manziel attempts to put a stranglehold on the Browns' starting quarterback position.
