Here’s Why LeBron James Hasn’t Appeared in More Movies

LeBron James has been offered plenty of movie roles, but he’s turned down almost all of them.

On Tuesday, GQ published an interview they did with LeBron James' business partner Maverick Carter. It touched on a number of topics related to the multifaceted marketing power of the Cavaliers' star. Carter talked about the Nike deal he helped LeBron negotiate that is likely worth $1 billion, the strategy behind LeBron signing several short-term contracts in recent years as opposed to one big one, and the possibilities presented by a growing movie career, which seems appropriate given recent reports linking LeBron to Space Jam 2.

After the success LeBron enjoyed as part of the cast of the 2015 hit Trainwreck, more movies appearances would seem like the logical next step for him. Not so fast, though. Carter explained that, before LeBron agreed to appear in Trainwreck, they both carefully weighed the pros and cons associated with it:
