Five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has signed with the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Saints and Titans were also in the running for Suh's services, as were the Jets, who offered him more money than the one-year/$14 million deal he settled and then rescinded that offer on Sunday.
In L.A., Suh is set to be paired with fellow defensive tackle Aaron Donald, also known as the league's reigning Defensive Player of the Year. In fact, the prospect of playing with a highly capable teammate who would prevent Suh from being double-teamed reportedly helped him make up his mind:
The addition of Suh comes roughly a month after the Rams traded for two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters, and less than three weeks after they counterbalanced that on the other side of the field by trading for five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib. Unfortunately (for Rams fans, anyway) Suh, Donald, and franchise-tagged safety LaMarcus Joyner are all only signed for one more season. But that caveat didn't prevent NFL fans from taking note of the Rams' Super Bowl or bust aspirations in March:
