Over Fourth of July weekend, Steph Curry held an overnight basketball camp in Hawaii that costs $2,250 for campers to attend. That's pretty steep for the average kid who wants to learn how to front the post when defending opponents on the block, the Mikan drill, defensive slides, slipping a screen towards the basket on pick-and-roll play, and other essential basketball fundamentals.
This cost of his camp drew anger from Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett when he spoke to Hawaii's KHON about how he doesn't charge kids to attend his Island of Oahu football camp:
Steph apparently got wind of Bennett trolling him about his pricey camp fee. So to turn a negative into a positive, Steph posted a flyer of his younger brother and Mavericks guard Seth Curry's basketball camp, which begins later this month on July 30, on his Instagram account. Steph even poked at Bennett calling him out by saying that Seth's camp "won't cost you 2K" for kids to attend.
According to the flyer, Seth's camp cost only costs $200 per player, which seems a bit more affordable than paying the cost of Steph's camp that makes the average working parent feel like they're paying their backtaxes to the IRS.
