On Wednesday afternoon, Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell and his teammate LeGarrette Blount got pulled over in Ross Township, Pa. and arrested for marijuana possession after a motorcycle cop smelled weed wafting out of the car that they were driving in together. Bell was driving the car so, in addition to the possession charge, he also got hit with a misdemeanor DUI charge, which could result in a stiffer penalty from the NFL. And as it turns out, Bell was driving the car because he "didn't know"—yes, "didn't know"—that it's against the law to drive under the influence of marijuana.

"I didn't know you could get a DUI for being high," he reportedly told police after they pulled him over.

But Bell didn't stop there. After admitting his ignorance about DUI laws, he also told police that he did smoke before getting arrested but that he wasn't smoking right before he got pulled over.

"I smoked two hours ago," he said. "I'm not high anymore. I'm perfectly fine. Why would I be getting high if I had to make it to my game?"

Hmmm…Very good question, dude. Care to offer up an acceptable response?
