In tandem with the announcement, Schwarzenegger and Paul spoke to USA Today about their involvement in the upcoming tournament.

“I love the absurdity of it,” Paul said. “I love the idea that two guys could just stand across from each other and just slap each other and see who falls down first. It’s hilarious to me. It’s like, how is that a real event? What the (expletive) is that sport?”

“I know we’re going to have a great time watching the slap competition as long as we don’t get slapped,” Schwarzenegger said.

The former bodybuilder also took to Twitter to promote the contest, writing, “Prepare to watch some brutal slaps March 5th with me and @loganpaul live and free on Logan’s YouTube and on @fanmio.”

Per the official rules page from Slapstrike.com, the fight is comprised of three rounds with one slap per competitor in each round. Three judges will score the fight, with a knockout determined based on a player’s ability to continue fighting within 30 seconds of being slapped.
